  • Bela Sullivan (she/her)

    Director of MYAD

    Bela Sullivan, currently in her third year at McGill University, is pursuing a B.A. in International Development and Gender, Sexuality, Feminist, and Social Justice Studies, with a minor in Geography. As Director of MYAD, she channels her dedication to fostering equitable and meaningful youth engagement in multilateral arenas. Bela's interests extend to reproductive justice, environmental law, and global health.

  • Jeanne Gonelle (she/her)

    Logistics Officer

    Jeanne Gonelle is a third-year student at McGill University, majoring in Political Science, Islamic Civilizations & Middle Eastern Studies, and Economics. As a logistics officer, she is focusing on expanding MYAD's budget to enhance inclusivity. She is very interested in the barriers to political participation and representation and believes MYAD has a stake in addressing these issues.

  • Olivia Melanson (she/her)

    Logistics Officer

    Olivia Melanson is entering her third year at McGill University, pursuing a B.A. (Honours) in Political Science with minor concentrations in Economics and Indigenous Studies. This year, she is joining MYAD as the new Logistics Officer and is excited to bring her new perspective to the team. She is particularly interested in parliamentary institutions, Canadian foreign affairs, international organisations, and human rights.

  • Esme Longley (she/they)

    Negotiations Officer

    Esme Longley is in their final year at McGill University, completing a B.A. & Sc. in Sustainability, Science, and Society and a minor in Health Geography. They are passionate about the intersection of climate change and health inequities worldwide, with a particular focus on disability justice, renewable energy, and passport apartheid. Esme is eager to apply the insights gained from their two-year tenure as President of MYAD, where they focused on breaking barriers to entry at the United Nations. In their new role as Negotiations Officer, Esme is excited to center diverse youth perspectives in high-level political forum discussions.

  • Asia Zanelli (she/her)

    Negotiations Officer

    Asia Zanelli is entering her third and final year at McGill University, where she is pursuing a Joint Honours degree in Political Science and International Development, with a minor in Italian Studies. Passionate about social justice, she focuses on immigration, racial discrimination, and sexual and reproductive rights. Her diverse background and academic experiences give her a unique perspective as a Negotiations Officer, where she is committed to advocating for marginalised communities and driving meaningful change.

  • Victoria Forte (she/her)

    Branding Officer

    Victoria Forte, currently in her third and final year at McGill University, is completing her B.A. in Political Science and Gender, Sexuality, Feminist, and Social Justice Studies. As the new Branding Officer for MYAD, Victoria brings a fresh perspective to the team. She has a keen interest in Canadian public policy, human rights, transitional justice, and law.

  • Judy Zeng (she/her)

    Experience Officer

    Judy Zeng is a third-year U2 student at McGill University and is completing a B.A & Sc. in Statistics and Political Science. As an Experience Officer for the second year with MYAD, Judy hopes to help revamp the recruitment and policy writing process to make it more equitable and inclusive for all. She has a keen interest in digital and technology policy.

  • Rena Atandah (she/her)

    Experience Officer

    Rena Atandah, currently in her second year at McGill University, is completing her B.A. & Sc. in Psychology, Biochemistry, and International Development Studies. As an Experience Officer for MYAD, Rena unique perspective to the team. She has a keen interest in international justice, global health, human rights, and gender equality.

  • Leenah Qasrawi (she/her)

    Community Engagement Officer

    Leenah Qasrawi, currently in her second year at McGill University, is pursuing a B.A. in Political Science and World Islamic & Middle East Studies. As one of the Community Engagement Officers for MYAD, Leenah brings extensive international experience to the team. Her interests lie in international affairs, human rights, and the complexities of global issues through diverse cultural lenses, offering a unique perspective shaped by her Palestinian-Canadian background.

  • Maria Lima Fernandes (she/her)

    Community Engagement Officer

    Maria Lima Fernandes is entering her third year of a Joint Honours degree in Political Science and International Development Studies. She is passionate about gender equality and intersectional, contextual social justice. As the new Community Engagement Officer for MYAD, she aims to advance the organisation's commitment to including diverse voices in policy-making. Coming from Latin America, Maria is dedicated to uplifting marginalised voices and bringing Global South knowledge to the forefront of international discussions.

  • Ayisha Hilal (she/her)

    UN Communications Officer

    Ayisha Hilal, currently in her fourth and final year at McGill University, is completing her B.A. in Political Science and International Development with a minor in Economics. As one of MYAD’s UN Communications Officers, she works to cultivate and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with Permanent Missions, NGOs, and other UN and global policy-making stakeholders. She has a great interest in immigration issues, racial discrimination in the justice system, and law.

  • Giulia Brito Pound (she/her)

    UN Communications Officer

    Giulia Brito Pound, currently in her fourth and final year at McGill University, is completing her B.A. in Political Science and Environment. As a new UN Communications Officer for MYAD, Giulia is determined to meaningfully engage with unique stakeholders. She has a keen interest in Canadian foreign policy, climate politics and international affairs.

    UN Communications Officer

    Olivia Ginnetti is a second-year student at McGill University, pursuing a B.A. in Political Science, Anthropology, and Gender, Sexuality, Feminist, and Social Justice Studies. As a new UN Communications Officer, Olivia is committed to amplifying the voices of young leaders in policy-making. Passionate about a wide range of pressing issues, she has a keen interest in international law, gendered issues, the rights of immigrants and refugees, and education equity.
